Michael Cramer should have definitely been picked up by any band needing a master guitar player.
I recently heard some new tracks the first being "This Is My Favorite Part" which in after listening to it from beginning to end sounds like the Ramoans meets ZZ Top what I mean by that is musically you've got the ramons driveing beat with a ZZ Top rough sounding vocals mixed in, makes for a perfect classic rock sound with fresh new lyrics as all of the tracks mentioned in this review wil sound like. "tenderness" has amix of musical sounds that really work well together starting off with an opening guitar riff that sounds like Michael's paying tribute to ZZ Top's "LaGrange" with a Doors "love her madly" intertwined through out the piece as well and the vocals just a straight ahead rock and roll vibe in there. "It's Never Too Late" a Blue Oyster Cult meets the Psychedelic rock period with that cool echo vocals on the track mixed with a Don't Fear The Reaper" and an "I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night" by the Electric Prunes sprinkled throughout, again this has a classic rock feel but freshly laid down new lyrics. "Free Man" has an eighties straight ahead sound with Jack Bruce Tinged Vocals and a screaming Jimi Hendrix guitar solo that even Jimi would be proud of . Michael Cramer can be heard this week on Talking Hendrix where you'll hear him talk about his musical influences, bands he's played in and some music that will give you the ideal look at what drives Michael to keep on writing these great rockin' tunes. Check him out on our show this week on www.bostonfreeradio.com starting at 10 p.m. you won't be disappointed .
