Jaclyn Bradley's New Single "hometown" Really Hits Home"
by

Holyoke, Massachusetts June 13, 2024
Jaclyn Bradley's new single Hometown really gives you a feel of home and has a great message that this writer hears remember where you came from, and never forget the people you meet as you go through life. This tune was a very well penned one and has various female country pop artists influences within this song I can hear the influences of Hillary Scott of Lady A, Faith Hill, Taylor Swift, I can see this song moving up the top 40 country pop charts or even the independent music charts this will be on many of folks radar this summer for sure. The b-side of this single "Burn For You" a country rocker that keeps your toe tapping on this one and again has many current country pop influences within this tapper in this one the influeces I hear are Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Lady A, The Band Perry even this is going to be a double sided hit single this writer thinks, If interested and getting this you can stream and download where ever you get your music from, and it will be out officially on July 7th be sure to get it then, and you won't be disappointed.
Anthony Bonnette's "Do You One Better" Could Be A Wedding Song For This Decade....

Holyoke., Massachusetts June 3, 2024
Anthony Bonnett has most definitely got a hit single on his hands with "Do You One Better" and also this could be the song that couples are going to want to make theirs as a song played to dance to as their songo, it certainly has that romantic feel to the track that makes you want to dance pretty much anywhere you with your sweetheart, "Do You One Bettter" also has that 90s country sound that George Strait would even have even done justice to infact Anthony's vocals sound very close to Strait's voice it's like he picked up where George left off. I see this being a song people are going to call their song and have played to their first dance at their wedding every decade has one of those songs the 2010s had "Need You NOw" by Lady A..well the 2020s is going to have Anthony Bonnett's "Do You ONe Better". Check out this track where ever you stream your music or get your downloads from. this song certainly should be climbing up the country top 40 charts, and be those hopeless romatic lovers song to make memories with.
Kent Blazy's Newest Release "my Life So Far" Leaves Us Wanting More...

Holyoke, Massachusetts June 3, 2024
Another masterpiece from singer/songwriter Kent Blazy, it seems as though everytime he puts a new album out he manages to surpass the previous one, and we do have a musical hero track in this set of material as always this time Kent is paying tribute to the sixties british invasion blues rock band the Yardbirds whom gave us three legendary guitar players of course and that would be Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. This album has a rockin' country feel for the most part and you can hear the different influential people that had to have been the inspiration for these songs, some of the inspirations this writer hears in the material included on this package of delectable goodies of songs are Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, the Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers, Charlie Daniels, and of course Tom Petty who influenced so many great artists as well, but to close out this eleven track collection is
a demo version of a track that Kent co-wrote with legendary cowboy Garth Brooks, Kent and Garth have co-written many of Brooks's hits throughout his career and they've scored big on the country music charts they started collaborations of writing going all the way back to Garth's first album with monster hit "if Tomorrow Never Comes", the track on this package is entitled "For A Minute There" the song would later appear on Garth's 2005 release "The Lost Sessions" which had some really good tunes that were left over from various recording sessions for his albums and some newley penned tracks as well. As always Kent knows how to deliver these finely penned tunes and each and every song has a great story within them, which is what we should hear in all genres of music is a good story and a good message. Kent always delivers a great album's worth of material and never disappoints his fans infact this writer believes what Kent does is always leaves them wanting more and that's just what he has done here keep them coming.
Allie Coleen's "Grass On The Grave" Hits Home For Those Dealing With Those Relationships We Sometimes Don't WantTo Leave....
by

Holyoke, Massachusetts June 6, 2024
Allie Coleen's newest relelease "Grass On The Grave" really drives it home on the relationship scene, it gets the point across to the listener that you think you're in that perfect love relationship, but the other person involved might be looking to see if that grass is greener on the otherside and sometimes we just have to move on, even though you might be in love with that other person they might just not feel the same as you do. This is what is so great about the country music fenre and that is they always have either great stories or a message that gets across to all the listeners vs. the other genres not to say the other genres don't have message songs or stories but the vast majority just are typically talking about driving or living fast and not paying attention to what's going on around you. Allie Coleen's "Grass On The Grave" has that great message saying moving on in a former relationship is not a bad thing sometimes you just got to and something better will come along. I most definitely see a big and bright future for Allie's career she's definitely going places in the country music or even pop music scene for sure.
SISTER ROSETTA THARPE LIVE IN FRANCE:
THE 1966 CONCERT IN LIMOGES
Is A Religious Experience Like You've Never Had Before
by
Edward Wrobleski
April 10, 2024 Western Massachusetts This unreleased until now lost gem of the late Sister Rosetta Tharpe will be released April 20th, this coming record store day as a limited edition 2-LP set and then will be released on a deluxe cd packaging on April 26th along with a digital stream on the same day as well. This 21 song set was recorded on November 11, 1966 at the Grand Theater in Limoges, France most likely in the hopes that eventually her record label at that time would do possibly one of two things as most artists did back in those days which was either release the full live performance on vinyl for her loyal listening fans whom may have seen that particular performance or in hopes to hear a glimpse of what they couldn't go and hear or see in person or they do this more now adays then back then but release a live compilation album of various performances from various shows/venues, but then live concert albums in the sixties were not as popular as they would become in later years and the recording technology at that time was not perfect but that is to what this writer thinks makes a live album more unique. This performance of Sister Rosetta Tharpe has been shelfed and or should I say lost/locked away in in a music vault for all of these years and now we get this delightful solo performance of the legend with just herself and her electric guitar, in other words unplugged, but in those days unplugged wasn't even thought of as a term yet and again this is what makes this album speciall and unique for the listener. As we know Sister Rosetta Tharpe paved the way for so many female guitar and vocalists including female guitar legend Bonnie Raitt, but she also had inspired many male vocalists and guitarists in those days including Little Richard, Keith Richards, Chuck Berry, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Rev. Billy F. Gibbons of bluesrock band ZZ Top & sixties psychedelic band The Moving Sidewalks, there are as I said 21 moving and inspirational songs in this set, a few that really stand out to me is "Up Above My Head Is Music In The Air" this performance stands out and even though it's only her on vocals you can visualize while listening where a gospel choir would be singing with her in certain segments, we would however hear not quite two years late a an almost everyone on your feet a church service version by the king of rock and roll Elvis Presley in his '68 Comeback Special which would bring the house down with the audience cheering on the special performance by the king, Tharpe was very influential on the King by the Godmother of Rock and Roll herself to the King and his phenomenal gospel recordings, interesting thought and it's just a thought do you think the king ever met the Godmother of Rock and Roll in person? we will never know for sure. Another great track is "That's All/Denomination Blues" and Also "Nobody's Faul But Mine" great bluesy numbers that have such grit in her vocals as this writers sees and hears in this set is first this should have not stayed locked away in a vault for so long and second this is a must have for all of Sister Rosetta Tharpe fans and collectors, and if you're just discovering her music this is also a great introductory set to get. I've listed the tracks below as they will apear on the 2-LP vinyl set but the deluxe cd set has the same order of tracks this is most definitely a must for all collectors to own it, also includes extensive liner notes and never before seen photos as well you'll get some real insight on Sister Rosetta Tharpe if you're not familiar with her music or her story.
